Six reasons our battery chargers are an easy add to your parts line.
Two Battery Chemistries, Four Models
Dedicated electric wheelchair battery charger models for lead-acid and lithium-ion packs, each in 2A and 5A — four chargers covering the full range of wheelchair batteries we ship. Never cross chemistries: each charger is built for its battery type.
4 models2A for Overnight, 5A for Fast Turnaround
The 2A charger is the gentle overnight option; the 5A charger refills the same pack in roughly half the time. Dealers serving high-use fleets and rental operations will want the 5A on the shelf.
2A / 5APredictable Charging Times
Charging time follows a simple rule: battery capacity divided by charging current. A 20Ah lithium pack takes about 4–5 hours on the 5A charger and 10–12 hours on the 2A charger. Near full charge the current tapers off, so the final stretch takes a little longer — normal for all quality chargers.
Capacity ÷ currentMatched to ZVCARE 24V Systems
This electric wheelchair battery charger is the same type specified for our own wheelchair lineup's 24V battery systems — not a generic adapter. Your customers get a charger engineered for their chair's battery, from the same factory.
24V systemsBuilt for Dealer Service Counters
An electric wheelchair battery charger is one of the most-replaced wheelchair accessories. Stocking factory-original 2A and 5A units in both chemistries gives your service team the right part on hand instead of a workaround.

Buying Guide at a Glance
How Charging Time Works
Charging time ≈ battery capacity ÷ charging current. A 20Ah pack on a 5A charger: 20 ÷ 5 = 4 hours in theory, about 4–5 hours in practice. On a 2A charger: 20 ÷ 2 = 10 hours in theory, about 10–12 hours in practice. As the battery nears full, the charger tapers the current down, so the last stretch takes a little longer — this is normal and protects the battery. Scale the rule to your pack: a 12Ah battery on 5A charges in roughly 2.5–3 hours.

Two things decide which charger you need: battery chemistry and your charging routine. Lead-acid packs need the lead-acid charger; lithium-ion packs need the li-ion charger — they are not interchangeable, and using the wrong charger risks undercharging at best and battery damage at worst. Then choose 2A for gentle overnight charging or 5A when the chair must be ready again fast.
Key Facts at a Glance
What every dealer should know about ZVCARE chargers.
- Match chemistry first: lead-acid charger for lead-acid packs, li-ion charger for li-ion packs — never mixed.
- 2A for overnight, 5A for fast turnaround: the 5A refills the same pack in roughly half the time — ideal for fleets and rental operations.
- Charging time is predictable: battery capacity divided by charging current, plus a taper phase near full — a 20Ah pack takes about 4–5 hours on 5A, 10–12 hours on 2A.

Which charger do I need for my wheelchair battery?
Match two things: battery chemistry and your charging routine. Lead-acid packs need the lead-acid charger; lithium-ion packs need the li-ion charger — they are not interchangeable. Then choose 2A for overnight charging or 5A for faster turnaround.
Can I use a lead-acid charger on a lithium battery?
No. Lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries need different charging profiles. Using the wrong charger risks undercharging at best and battery damage at worst. Always match chemistry.
How long does it take to charge a 20Ah battery?
About 4–5 hours with the 5A charger, or 10–12 hours with the 2A charger. The rule is capacity divided by current, plus extra time near the end when the charger tapers current down to protect the battery.
Is a 5A charger bad for the battery compared to 2A?
For the battery sizes used in electric wheelchairs, 5A is a standard fast-charge rate, not an abusive one. The 2A is simply gentler and suited to overnight charging. If you are unsure which suits a specific pack, send us the battery specs and we will recommend the right model.
Do these chargers come with your wheelchairs?
Wheelchairs ship with the appropriate charger for their battery. This page is for distributors and dealers who need replacement or spare chargers for their service counters and parts shelves.
Can I use one charger for both my lead-acid and lithium chairs?
No — keep one charger per chemistry. Stocking both types is exactly why we sell them as four separate models.
What are your MOQ, lead time, and warranty for chargers?
MOQ is 1 piece, lead time is 7 days after payment, and chargers carry a 12-month warranty. Volume pricing is available — contact Peter or Alice for a quote.
